Abstract

his study attempts to investigate the intellectual position of the Islamic reformers in the modern era regarding the forms of collective identities, namely: the Islamic identity, as well as the position on the Arab identity, the national identity and the theme of the modern national state with which it is closely related. Accordingly, this study focused on a central problem that was summarized by the following question: Is the focus on the Islamic identity
