Directing the semantics of Andalusian poetry Between the eloquent simile and metaphor (Al-Balawi's poetry as a model)
Abstract
This study aims to trace the recipient’s understanding the poetry of Yusuf bin Muhammad Al-Balawi, specifically in the intertwining of the art of simile and metaphor, and what this understanding can lead to in terms of the service of the text on the researcher part: the poet’s intent and the understanding of the recipient. This study is divided into three main areas: linguistic overlap, recruitment overlap, and interpretive overlap. As for the linguistic overlap, it is concerned with the techniques inherent in the language. While the recruitment is concerned with the skill of the poet and his special functions. For the interpretative, on the other hand, is concerned with the interpretations of the recipient and what can be understood from the text.
