ARABIC DIALECTS IN AL-KIRMANI'S BOOK (786H) "AL-KAWAKIB AL-DARARI FI SHARH SAHIH AL-BUKHARI": A SYNTACTIC STUDY
Abstract
In the vast realm of the Arabic language, the diversity of its dialects stands out prominently. This variation in Arabic dialects has cast its shadows on the linguistic heritage of poetry and prose before the advent of Islam. It also influenced the language of the Holy Quran and the Prophet's traditions in authentic books. This phenomenon is vividly displayed in the Hadith books and their explanations, with Sahih Al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) at the forefront. Among these works is Al-Kirmani's commentary titled "Al-Kawakib Al-Darari fi Sharh Sahih Al-Bukhari." This book encompasses numerous Arabic dialects across all linguistic levels. However, my research specifically delves into these dialects from a grammatical perspective. The study is divided into an introduction that includes a definition of the book and its author, an exploration of dialects (their concept, origin, and scholars' stance on them), three sections concerning nouns, verbs, and particles, and a conclusion summarizing the findings.
